NEX Group at Higham

This native broadleaved woodland comprises mainly Oak and Ash with Birch, Rowan and Hazel. It is situated on the site of and adjacent to the remnants of an ancient oak wood. It is highly visible from the A66 just between Cockermouth and Bassenthwaite Lake in the Lake District National Park. A public bridleway runs through the new woodland.

The project underwent its scheduled Woodland Carbon Code re-certification in 2017.
